Monthly Market Update:
Recap of September 2019
It is hard to believe we just closed out the third quarter of 2019. Results for market performance are in for the month of September.
The S&P 500 finished up 1.87%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 2.05%, and the Nasdaq up .54%. International stocks were up 2.87% based on the return of the MSCI EAFE index.
Bonds were down for the month, but they have remained a strong investment for the trailing twelve-month average.
We start another round of corporate earnings in October. This will allow us to see the bottom line with how companies are doing with the economy. Holiday shopping is about to start and the media will enjoy reporting how the sales are going, which will determine the short-term market price.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
